Alice Garza, 78 of Friona passed away October 9, 2024 in Amarillo. Viewing will be held from 9:00AM to 8:00PM with Celebration of Life Service at 1:00 PM Saturday, October 19, 2024 in the Ron Smiley Memorial Chapel of the funeral home followed by cremation arrangements by HANSARD FAMILY Funeral Home of Friona.

Alice was born January 22, 1946 in Canyon, Texas to Matilde and Juanita Baroneis Martinez. She loved knitting, video games, anime, Christmas programs, country and gospel music.

She is preceded in death by her parents Matilde and Juanita, 1 brother- Lupe Duran, 2 sisters-Christina Martinez and Dora Covarrubias, and 1 grandson- Jeremy Martinez.

Those to mourn her passing include 1 daughter-Irene Drager of Clovis, 2 sons-Paul Garza and wife Carolyn and Tony Morin, all of Friona, 1 sister Sarah Coronado of San Angelo,  grandchildren-Joseph Bautista, Crystal Kinkade, Eric Tafoya, and Ruby Nguyen, 11 great-grandchildren, and 4 great-great-grandchildren.
