Anita Louise Bynum, 75, of Friona, Texas, died on Friday, August 15, 2014 in Amarillo. Celebration of Life Services will be at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, August 19, 2014 at Calvary Baptist Church in Friona with Pastor Bobby Broughton, officiating. Arrangements by Blackwell-Mullins Funeral Home of Friona. Anita Louise was born on December 11, 1938 in Lawton, OK, to W. R. and Dorothy Millsap Bowers. She married Jimmy Bynum in 1959 in Muleshoe. They moved to Friona in the early 1960's. Louise worked in the school cafeteria, as an aide in the nursing home and private care, and served as custodian of her church. She enjoyed handwork, painting and country life. She was a long time member of Calvary Baptist Church in Friona, where she served in many ways. She was a humble person and wonderful Christian, who loved the Lord with all her heart. She was a dedicated wife, mother and a special grandma to her grandchildren. She valued and loved the friendships she made during her life. She was preceded in death by her parents, and her husband. Survivors: 2 daughters- Melanie Burns of Muleshoe, and Denise Parker and husband Jeff of Borger, 2 sisters-Virginia Bowers of Muleshoe, and Barbara Dalton and husband Alvin of Ft. Worth, 2 grandchildren-Roy Burns of Muleshoe, and Keshia Parker of San Angelo.
