Anita Flores, 69 of Bovina passed away June 27, 2020 in Amarillo. Viewing will be held Friday, July 3, 2020 from 9:00 A.M. to 8:00 P.M. in the Ron Smiley Memorial Chapel of HANSARD FAMILY Funeral Home with Rosary Services scheduled for 3:00 P.M. Mass of Christian Burial Services are scheduled for 10:00 A.M. Saturday, July 4, 2020 at St. Ann's Catholic Church in Bovina with Father Gregory Bunyan as Celebrant, Burial following in the Bovina Cemetery by HANSARD FAMILY Funeral Home of Friona.

Anita was born August 1, 1950 in Durango, Mexico to Benito and Albertina Najera Gamboa. She later married Jose Jorge Flores January 19, 1969 in Mexico.

Anita loved to crochet, sew, garden and collect rocks. She was known for being kind and having lots of patience.

Those to carry on her legacy include her husband of Bovina, 2 daughters-Norma Flores and husband Jay Gabriel of Bovina, and Dora Flores of Friona, 1 son-Jaime Flores of Bovina, 5 brothers-Jaime Gamboa and wife Maria of Santa Clara, CA., Miguel Angel Gamboa and wife Elia of Modesto, CA., Reginaldo Gamboa and wife Benita of Visalia, CA., Benito Gamboa and wife Soledad of San Jose, CA., and Jose Luis Gamboa and wife Julia of Durango, Mexico, 1 sister-Irma Mancinas and husband Manuel of Durango, Mexico, and 9 grandchildren.
