Anna Maria Nevarez, 80 of Bovina passed away October 11, 2022 in Bovina. Viewing will be held from 9:00 AM to 8:00 PM with Rosary Services at 6:00 PM Friday, October 14, 2022 in the Ron Smiley Memorial Chapel of HANSARD FAMILY with Mass of Christian Burial Services scheduled for 11:00 AM Saturday, October 15, 2022 at St. Ann's Catholic Church in Bovina with Father Gregory Bunyan as Celebrant. Cremation following by HANSARD FAMILY Funeral Home of Friona.

Anna Maria was born May 30, 1942 in Buenaventura, Chihuahua, Mexico to Fermin Nevarez Ponce and Emilia Andujo Escajeda Nevarez. She was known as a very humble, kind, loving person with a very big heart. She loved to spend time with her family, especially at the grandchildren sporting events, watching her novellas and attending services at her church St. Ann's Catholic Church.

She is preceded in death by her parents, 3 sisters-Lucemila Nevarez, Delia Nevarez, and Esnestiva Almanza.

Those to mourn her passing include 2 sons-Enrique Mares and wife Blanca of Bovina, and Armando Mares and wife Blanca of Grand Prairie, and 1 daughter-Irene Salazar and husband Rosendo of Bovina, sisters-Lupe Gallegos of Juarez, Mexico and Easter Luna of Bovina, 9 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.
