Barbara Maynard, 77 of Friona died December 3, 2017 in Friona. Celebration of Life Services have been scheduled for 10:00 A.M. Saturday, December 9, 2017 at First Baptist Church in Friona with Rev. Brett Hoyle, pastor, officiating. Burial following in the Friona Cemetery by Blackwell-Mullins Funeral Home of Friona.

Barbara was born January 26, 1940 in Fort Worth, Texas to Ernest Christian and Maureen Paxton Hock. She married Jimmy Maynard September 5, 1957 in Friona.

Barbara was an employee of the Friona Texas Federal Credit Union for 35 years, the last 25 years serving as manager. She is a past member of the Friona City Council and New Horizon Study Club. She was a very active member of the First Baptist Church of Friona.  She was an avid reader, especially her Bible, loved to cook and spend time with her family.

She is preceded in death by her parents, and 1 sister-Peggy Jean Hock.

Survivors include her husband Jimmy of Friona, 2 sons- Don Maynard and wife Diane, and Mike Maynard, all of Amarillo, 1 daughter-Shauna Winters and husband Mike of Amarillo, 2 grandchildren-Murphy Maynard and McKenna Maynard.

There will be a family visitation Friday evening from 6 to 7:30 P.M. at the funeral home.
