Dale Widner, 88 of Friona passed away October 4, 2024 in Longview, Texas. Celebration of Life Graveside Services have been scheduled for 10:00AM MT Friday October 11, 2024 in the Melrose Cemetery in Melrose, New Mexico with Rev. David McGaughy, officiating, Burial following in the Melrose Cemetery by HANSARD FAMILY Funeral Home of Friona.

Dale was born February 11, 1936, in Clovis, New Mexico to Cleo and Wyndol True Widner. He later married Louise Frazier February of 1957. He was a longtime area farmer and rancher, an avid coin collector and enjoyed welding gifts for friends and family. He loved to travel and especially spending time with his great-grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents- Cleo and Wyndol Widner, wife- Louise Widner, daughter-Alicia Dale Widner, brother-Jerry Widner, and sister-Bonnie McMath.

Those that celebrate Dale's life include his daughter- Lana Jaton Magness and husband Glenn of Longview, 1 sister-Joyce Wallace of Lubbock,  grandson-Jake Magness and wife Hannah of Fumba Zanzibar, Tanzania. granddaughter-Courtney De La Rosa and husband Ben of Chandler, Texas, great-grandchildren-Evelyn and Zia Magness, and Benjamin Anika, and Ezra De La Rosa.
