David was born on August 20, 1962 to Jose and Angelita Bermea in Greeley, Colorado. He often mentioned how proud he was to have been born in Colorado, and the rest of his siblings were born in Texas.
David graduated from Friona High School in 1981. David also attended WT University in Canyon, Texas. David lived a holy single life and was the best uncle to several nieces and nephews, and many, many friends, no one was a stranger!
David loved his job at CHS as a hazmat driver for the company. He also worked for a while with Bermea Construction Inc. where he ran a front end loader professionally like nobody else! He went with Bermea Construction to New York for stadium renovations, and as they were traveling through Harlem they totally got lost in the days of no GPS, he took the drivers wheel and got them out of there easy and safely. He also worked for Baldwin Trucking Company driving cross country delivering strawberries, and Idaho potatoes. He also worked for Edmund Bermea Trucking, hauling cotton burrs. He worked for his father Jose, of Bermea Brothers Trucking hauling cotton burrs and worked at grinding alfalfa and cotton burrs.
He loved singing in the St. Teresa's Catholic Church while playing guitar, and enjoyed bible studies. He loved music and especially Boston and George Straight. He was always singing and playing music, and loved to dance. Hobbies were visiting family, traveling, watching movies and Dallas Cowboys, and Texas Longhorn college football. He enjoyed weight lifting and working out three days weekly and faithfully and was an encourager for those working out too. He loved praying the rosary and the Divine Mercy Chaplet and attended holy mass faithfully. David will be especially remembered for his great love of God, and family and a beautiful voice and fiery spirit to encourage others.
He was preceded in death by his father Jose Bermea.
Those to mourn his passing include his mother Angelita Bermea of Friona. Richard Bermea and wife, Monica, Joe Bermea Jr. and wife Belinda, Cynthia Vega and husband Uriel, Rudy Bermea and wife Sylvia, Lucinda Mosley and husband Wayne, several nieces and nephew, great nephews and great nieces, and many, many, many friends.
