Dorothy Faye Fite was born on June 28, 1921 in Holdenville, Oklahoma to Marion Francis and Birdie (Busby) Fite. After graduation, she attended Texas Tech University. Dorothy was married to the love of her life, Eugene Ellis, for 72 wonderful years. While living in Lubbock, Texas, she worked as a bookkeeper at Citizen's National Bank and Whiteside Laundry, after moving to Friona, Texas she worked at Hub Gin. Dorothy was a devoted mother, serving as a den mother for her sons Boy Scout Pack, and was an accomplished artist. She was a member of Friona United Methodist Church, where she was a Sunday School Teacher and a Vacation Bible School assistant. Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers and four sisters.
