Elthie Hand, 96 of Friona passed away March 18, 2019 in Friona. Celebration of Life Services will be held 2:00 P.M. Sunday, March 24, 2019 at the 6 ^th St. Church of Christ in Friona with Dr. Jerry Nance of Stephenville, and Jeff Procter, minister, officiating. Burial following in the Friona Cemetery by HANSARD FAMILY Funeral Home of Friona.

Elthie was born December 17, 1922 in Sasawka, Oklahoma to E.B. and Pearl Lee Brannon. She later married Johnny Wesley Hand July 1, 1940 in Clovis.

Elthie loved the farm life, sewing, cooking and painting. She was a member of the 6 ^th St. Church of Christ and truly loved her neighbor as herself.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, 1 daughter-Jennie Lee Hand, and 2 great-granddaughters- AlLee Gee, and Rylee Roberts.

Those to carry on her legacy include 2 daughters- Jonnie Williams of  Stephenville, Wesslie Hand of Friona, 4 grandchildren-Keli jon Nance and husband Jerry of Stephenville, Heidi Hooten and husband Scott of Ft. Worth, Ashlee Roberts and Dustee Gee of Friona, 7 great-grandchildren- Karson Nance, Barrett Hooten, Brynleigh Hooten and Brylen Hooten, Emalee Roberts, Natalee Roberts and Keeton Roberts.
