Evangelina Mejia 63 of Friona died Tuesday in Amarillo. Mass of Christian Burial Service has been scheduled for 11:00 A.M. Friday October 10, 2014 at St. Teresa's Catholic Church in Friona with Rev. Anthony Swamy Aaakula as Celebrant. Burial following in the Friona Cemetery by Blackwell-Mullins Funeral Home of Friona. Mrs. Mejia was born February 21, 1951 in Mexico to Alejandro and Enriequeta Garcia Apodaca. She was a member of the Catholic Church. Survivors include her husband Benito Mejia Jr., 1 son- Benito Mejia III, 2 daughters- Veronica Trevino, and Dinora Kissy Davila all of Friona, 1 brother Esteban Apodaca of San Luis, AZ., 4 sisters- Maria Bovadia and Enrequeta Garcia of San Luis, AZ., Estella Baltierra and Emma Leticia Frausto of Los Angelas, CA. , and 7 grandchildren.
