Obituary

Hortencia Aguillon Lara, 84 of Bovina passed away February 6, 2018 in New Mexico. Prayer Services will be held 5:00 P.M. Sunday, February 11, 2018 at the XIT Building in Bovina with a Celebration of Life Service set for 1:00 P.M. Monday, February 12, 2018 at the First Baptist Church in Bovina with Pastor Sergio Vernal of Plainview, officiating. Burial following in the Bovina Cemetery in Bovina by Blackwell-Mullins Funeral Home of Friona.

Mrs. Lara was born May 6, 1933 in Mexico to Juanito and Maria Peña Aguillon. She married her love Rosendo Lara on the day of love February 14, 1961. This Godly couple served The Church of God of the First Born and community of Bovina for many years with humble hearts.

She is preceded in death by her parents, 1 sister-Amalia Aguillon, and 3 brothers-Pablo Aguillon, Umberto Aguillon and Gonzalo Aguillon.

Continuing the legacy are 3 daughters- Sylvia Medrano of Dimmitt, Irma Rocha and Anna DeLaCruz both of Bovina, 6 sons-Jessie Lara and Noe Lara of Dimmitt and Rosendo Lara Jr, Tony Lara, and Esequiel Lara all of Bovina and Robert Lara of Lamesa,  1 brother-Francisco Aguillon and 1 sister- Josefine Aguillon of Mexico, 43 grandchildren and 59 great-grandchildren.
