Isabel Lara Leal, 99 of Bovina passed away August 8, 2021 in Bovina. Viewing will be held Friday, August 13, 2021 beginning at 1:00 P.M. at St. Ann's Catholic Church in Bovina with Rosary Service at 6:00 P.M. Mass of Christian Burial Services will be held 10:00 A.M. Saturday, August 14, 2021 at St. Ann's Catholic Church in Bovina with Father Gregory Bunyan as Celebrant. Burial following in the Bovina Cemetery by HANSARD FAMILY Funeral Home of Friona.

Isabel was born November 5, 1921 in Robstown, Texas to Felix and Juanita Rodriguez Lara. She later married Seferino Leal on March 21, 1936.

Isabel was member of the Catholic Church and was active in many areas of her church. She loved to cook and was known for her great tamales. She also loved to sew.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, and 1 daughter-Janie Ramirez.

Those to carry on her legacy include 3 daughters-Susan Munoz of Dalhart, Delores Telles of Amarillo, and Rosa Medina of Dallas, 6 sons-Seferino Leal, Jr. and Ruben Leal of Dalhart, Jimmy Leal of Friona, Tim Leal, David Leal and Tommy Leal, all of Bovina, and 1 sister-Alice Soto of Robstown.
