J anee Jackson, 86 of Anton, formerly of the Rhea Community died February 2, 2017 in Lubbock. Funeral Services have been scheduled for 2:00 P.M. Monday February 6, 2017 at the First Baptist Church in Bovina with Rev. Brian Mullins, pastor, John R. Blackwell and Ricky Taylor, officiating. Burial following in the Bovina Cemetery by Blackwell-Mullins Funeral Home of Friona.

Janee Jackson was born Sept 27, 1930 in Winganon, Oklahoma to T.F. and Beatrice Parker Taylor. For many years she was a certified apartment manager, managing apartments in Abilene, she was a past licensed real estate agent and worked for the Friona funeral home for over a decade.

Janee loved to read Christian novels, was an avid knitter, loved to crochet while watching the Gaither Homecoming programs. The Rhea community and members of First Baptist Church in Bovina were her extended family, every bit as loved as much as her actual family

She is preceded in death by her parents, 2 brothers: James Wayne "Sonny" Taylor, and Norman Ray Taylor.

Survivors include 2 daughters- Kay Jackson of Anton, Kathy Herrin and husband Randy of Anton, 1 Sister- Barbara Thomas of Las Vegas, Nevada , 1 granddaughter-McKenzi Jackson of Ft. Worth 1 sister-in-law- Gay Taylor of Rhea Community, 2 nieces-Kristy Anderson and Shannon Malone and 1 nephew-Ricky Taylor.
