Jesse Glen Shirley, 69 of Kingston, Oklahoma, formerly of Friona died May 7, 2017 in Kingston. Celebration of Life Services will be held 10:00 A.M. Friday, May 12, 2017 at the Friona Cemetery with pastor Bobby Broughton, pastor of the Calvary Baptist Church in Friona, officiating. Burial following in the Friona Cemetery by Blackwell-Mullins Funeral Home of Friona.

Jesse was born February 15, 1948 in Dimmitt to Jack Glen Shirley and Christine Lindley Shirley Zorns.

He was a farmer, rancher, cattle buyer, auctioneer and horse whisperer. He loved to dance and was a member of the First Baptist Church in Friona.

He is preceded in death by his father, by 1 brother Michael Lewis Shirley

Survivors include his mother Christine Zorns of Friona, 1 son-Glen Shirley and wife Eve of Kingston, Ok., 2 daughters-Shay Shirley and Jimmy Coombs of Temple, Ok., and Jacque Shirley of Fayetteville, Arkansas, 1 sister-Judy Potts and husband Larry of Friona, 6 grandchildren-Aaron Shirley, Morgan Shirley, Macy Shirley, Keevin Smith, Katrina Smith and Cason Smith, 5 step-children and 6 step-grandchildren, whom he helped raise.
