Jo Ann Wells, 87 of Friona passed away Wednesday, January 16, 2019 in Friona. Celebration of Life Graveside Services will be held 11:00 A.M. Saturday, January 19, 2019 at the Friona Cemetery in Friona with Jeff Procter, minister of the 6 ^th St. Church of Christ, officiating. Burial following in the Friona Cemetery by HANSARD FAMILY Funeral Home of Friona.

Jo was born September 29, 1931 in Dimmitt, Texas to John Wesley and Pauline Celia Dinkin Godfrey. She spent many years living and working in Dimmitt and later married Max Wells in Dimmitt on April 24, 1965. She moved to Friona with Max to begin their married life working together on their family farm, and have done so for over 50 years. She was a member of the 6 ^th St. Church of Christ.

Jo is preceded in death by her parents, 1 brother and 3 sisters.

Those to mourn her passing include:  her husband, Max of Friona, 1 brother-Ted Godfrey ad wife Murlene of Pecos, 1 sister-Carolyn Gruenhoff of Oklahoma, 2 brothers-in-law-Jim Roy Wells and wife Cherry and Rex Wells, and wife Sue, all of Friona, 2 other sisters-in-law- Janice Chesher of Hereford and Joyce Wells of Friona.
