Joao Alberto Ferreira, 59 of Friona died Friday August 7, 2015 in Friona. Memorial Services have been scheduled for 7:00 P.M. Thursday August 13, 2015 at the Blackwell-Mullins Funeral Home in Friona. Mr. Ferreira was born August 18, 1955 in Portugal to Mario Ferreira dos Santos and Lucinda Candida Vaz Ferreira. He loved his family, bullfighting, singing, playing soccer and woodworking. He is preceded in death by his parents, and 2 brothers. Survivors include: 1 daughter-Desirae Ferreira of Friona, 2 sons-Donald Ferreira of Canyon, and Jessie Ferreira of Dallas, 3 brothers-Jose Ferreira of Las Vegas, NV, Mario Santos of California, and Luis Santos of Chino, California, 3 sisters-Alda Santos and Maria Santos of San Bernardino California and Eva Ponte of Ontario, California, and 6 grandchildren.
