Joaquin Rueda, 67 of Friona died June 7, 2017 in Friona. Rosary Services will be said at 8:30 P.M. Thursday, June 8, 2017 at St. Teresa's Catholic Church with Mass of Christian Burial Services will be held 11:00 A.M. Friday, June 9, 2017 at St. Teresa's Catholic Church in Friona with Rev. Anthony Swamy Aakula, as celebrant. Burial following in the Friona Cemetery by Blackwell-Mullins Funeral Home in Friona.

Joaquin was born August 16, 1949 in Mexico to Eduardo and Maria Rueda.

He was a machine operator for a construction company in Austin and loved his family.

He is preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include: his wife- Jovita Rueda, 3 sons-Carlos Rueda, Alejo Rueda and Jose Rueda, all of Friona, 3 daughters- Paula Garcia and Maria Rueda both of Friona and Ines Rueda of Mexico, 1 sister from Oklahoma, 1 sister from Missouri, 2 sisters from Mexico and 13 grandchildren.
