Joe Lewis Lumbrera, 58 of Bovina passed away January 13, 2022 in Lubbock. Family directed Celebration of Life Services will be held 2:00 PM Saturday January 22, 2022 at the Bovina United Methodist Church in Bovina with Rev. Larry Mitchell, officiating.  Cremation arrangements by HANSARD FAMILY Funeral Home of Friona.

Joe was born on May 10, 1963 in Muleshoe to Albino and Juanita Lumbrera. Joe was a hard working man and was employed by Lee Luis Construction Co. for about 21 years.

When Joe wasn't working, he spent time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He also enjoyed cooking out, drinking beer and watching the Dallas Cowboys. Joe was known in his community as an honest, loving, and caring man.

Preceding him in death is his parents –Albino and Juanita Lumbrera, his wife Barbara Lumbrera

Those to carry on his legacy include his daughter Jennifer Snodgrass and husband Ryan of Shawnee, OK., 1 step-daughter- Andrea Sabala and husband Augie, 2 step-sons- Eric and Zack Garza, 3 brothers-and 3 sisters- Diane Lumbrera of Gatesville, Adam Lumbrera of San Angelo, Roy and JoAnn Lumbrera from Ruidoso N.M., Virginia and Ernest Bribiesca of Garden City, Kansas, Jesus and Sinfer Lumbrera and Stella and Wallie Rodriguez, all of Clovis, 12 grandchildren-Jarid, Jacob, and Jayden Armstrong, K-Lynne. Delilah,  Audrina Sabala, Jayley, Raeley, Kymberli Bryant, L-Nayra Gaines, Aleeah and Alizae Garza, numerous nieces and nephews.
