John Colby "J.C." Pena, 33 of Friona, formerly of Bovina passed away April 20, 2019. Viewing will be Wednesday, April 24, 2019 from 9:00 A. M. to 8 P.M. in the Ron Smiley Memorial Chapel of the funeral home with a Celebration of Life scheduled for 2:00 P.M. Thursday, April 25, 2019 at the First Baptist Church in Bovina with Rev. Brian Mullins, pastor officiating. Service and cremation arrangements by HANSARD FAMILY Funeral Home of Friona.

J.C. was born May 22, 1985 in Amarillo. He later married Jessica Garcia 2013 in Bovina. His wife and children were his pride and joys of life.  He was a truck driver that loved his job. He was an avid gun collector and NRA member.  He loved to cookout and everyone loved his famous ribs. J.C. was a fan of the Houston Texans and Astros, and Texas Rangers. He loved playing poker, shooting pool and country music.

He is preceded in death by his father-Joe Flores.

Those to carry on his legacy include his wife Jessica, 2 sons-Adam John Pena and Orlando Gonzalez, 3 daughters-Audrey Mendoza, Natasha Gonzalez and Tatiana Gonzalez, all of Friona, Grandparents that raised him as their own, Joe and Nancy Pena of Bovina, 3 brothers-Jose Flores and Stephen Flores of Amarillo, and Enrique Flores of San Antonio, 3 sisters-Mary Jane Gutierrez and Frankie Cavazos of Amarillo, and Savannah Pena of Oklahoma, and his mother-Elizabeth Pena of Bovina.
