John Allen, Jr., 92 of Lubbock, former long time Friona resident passed away December 22, 2020 in Lockney. Viewing will be held from 9:00 A.M. to 8:00 P.M. Friday, January 1, 2021 in the Ron Smiley Memorial Chapel of HANSARD FAMILY with Celebration of Life Graveside Services set for 2:00 P.M. Saturday, January 2, 2021 in the Friona Cemetery with Rev. Gary Johnson, officiating. Burial following in the Friona Cemetery by HANSARD FAMILY Funeral Home of Friona.

John was born January 5, 1928 in Beardon, Oklahoma to John Andrew and Gertrude Marie Petty Allen. He was a proud master electrician for 35 years, a member of the Friona Volunteer Fire Department from 1966 until he retired in 1984, and a collector of rare coins.

He is preceded in death by his parents, wives- Betty Allen, Elsie Allen, and Loree Myers Allen, 2 brothers-Joe and Bill Allen, 4 sisters-Lillian Parson, Jessie Jackson, Viola Holton, and Francis Drake.

Those to mourn his passing include 1 son-Johnny Allen and wife Val of Oklahoma, 1 brother-Frankie Allen of Friona, 5 grandsons, 1 granddaughter, and 10 great-grandchildren.
