Jon Lin Riddle, 80, of Bovina, Texas passed away on March 7, 2023. Celebration of Life Memorial Services will be held at 2:00 PM Monday, March 13, 2023 at the Bovina Church of Christ in Bovina, Texas with Mike Prather, officiating. Arrangements by HANSARD FAMILY Funeral Home of Friona

Jon Lin was born September 9, 1942 in Lipan, Texas to Harley and Elizabeth Riddle. Jon spent his early years in Lipan and then moved to the Hale Center area. He moved to Bovina during his Junior High years. He loved participating in football, basketball and track during his High School years. He graduated from Bovina High School in 1961. In 1963, he married his life-long sweetheart, Brenda Jones. They recently celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary in February of 2023. Jon Lin farmed south of Bovina in early adulthood. In the 1980's he began his own trucking business which he owned many years. Jon Lin loved his family and friends and always enjoyed teasing and nicknaming all his children and grandchildren. He also loved cheering on and supporting his family at sporting and social events. Jon Lin fellowshipped at the Bovina Church of Christ where he served the Lord as Deacon and Elder much of his life. He dearly loved his church family.

Jon Lin was preceded in death by his parents Harley and Elizabeth Riddle, one sister, Latrelle Wheeler, and his son, Denver Riddle.

He is survived by his wife Brenda Riddle of Bovina, Texas and 2 children. Jon Riddle and his wife, Niki, of Dimmitt, Tx. Casey Lirot and husband, Toby, of Punta Gorda, Fl. He also leaves behind a brother, Joe Maxey(Butch) Riddle of New Orleans, La. His grandchildren include Kylah and Brant Hamilton of Amarillo, Tx; Kassi and Landon Long of Edmond, Ok.; Kade and Kassie Riddle of Canyon, Tx.; Taylor Lirot of Irwin, Pa.; Cammy Lirot of Durango, Co.; and Tanner Lirot of Punta Gorda, Fl. Also, Harlie Riddle of Powell, Wy. And Tori Lin Riddle of Grenada, Co. Two step grandchildren Tanner Coy and Mason Eckland of Grenada, Co. Additionally he leaves behind 10 great grandchildren.

Jon Lin's beautiful smile, bright eyes, and quick wit will be missed by all who loved him.
