Jose Angel Gutierrez Diaz, 56, of Bovina, Texas, died on Monday, January 12, 2015 in Farwell, Texas. Prayer Vigil will be held 6:00 P.M. on Thursday, January 15, 2015 at St. Ann's Catholic Church in Bovina, Texas. Mass of Christian Burial will be recited at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, January 16, 2015 at St. Ann's Catholic Church in Bovina, Texas with Reverend Anthony Nuesch, pastor of St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Hereford, Texas. Burial will follow in Bovina Cemetery, arrangements by Blackwell-Mullins Funeral Home of Friona, Texas. Jose Angel Gutierrez Diaz was born on May 26, 1958 in Durango, Mexico to Auturo Gutierrez and Maria Luisa Diaz. He married Maria de Refugio Ramirez on December 23, 1988. Jose moved to Bovina, Texas in 1997 from California. He was a feed truck driver for Opplinger Feed Yard in Farwell. He had also worked for Route 77 Dairy and Stateline Dairy, both in New Mexico. He enjoyed watching television and spending time with his family. He was preceded in death by his parents.
