Linda Henry passed away peacefully on Monday February 23,2026 in Amarillo Texas.

Memorial Services will be March 28,2026 at 2:00 PM at the Friona Cemetery. Please bring your own chairs if you need one. All arrangements by HANSARD FAMILY Funeral Home of Friona.

Linda was born September 9th 1949 on an Air Force base near Riverside California to Elmer Henson and Flony Opal (Denson) Spence.

Linda had many highlights in her life from her children to her grandchildren but the most important one was being married to her late loving husband Avis Henry. The two were married on September 5,1969 in Hereford Texas and had more than 55 loving years together before his passing on August 10, 2025.

Linda had a varied professional experience from being a volunteer in the Friona EMS on her way to becoming a paramedic in Borger Texas. She worked in HR for Cargill Meat Solutions in Friona Texas and she also did custom upholster in Friona among other things. Linda's hobbies are reading books, fishing, camping with family, visiting zoos and spending time with her grandchildren.

Linda is preceded in death by her parents Elmer Henson and Flony Opal (Denson) Spence. A brother Jack Wilson Spence.

Left to cherish Linda's memory is four children Tabatha Thornton of Gallup New Mexico, Shannon Green of Friona,Texas, Dawn Henry of Friona Texas, Chad (Sarah) Henry of St Louis Missouri. She was a loving "Memaw" of eleven grandchildren Justin Henry, Christopher Johnston, Timothy Johnston, Jordan Ross, Katelynn (Daniel) Pierpoint, Hannah (Dustin) Snyder, Gabriella Thornton, Allanah (Jamie) Murillo, Sean Henry, Madelyn Henry, and Camille Henry, two brothers Earnie(Rosie) Spence and Bruce(Mary) Spence along with nieces, nephews and other friends and family.
