Maria Duran, 65 of Friona died Sunday, July 10, 2016 in Amarillo. Viewing will be held 9:00 A.M. to 9:00 P.M. Wednesday, July 13, 2016 with family visitation from 6:00P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at Blackwell-Mullins Funeral Home in Friona. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 A.M. Thursday, July 14, 2016 at St. Teresa's Catholic Church in Friona with Rev. Anthony Neusch, of St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Hereford, as Celebrant. Burial following in the Friona Cemetery by Blackwell-Mullins Funeral Home of Friona.

Maria was born May 19, 1951 in Lubbock, Texas to Reynaldo and Santos Ybarra Morales. She married Joe Guadalupe Duran October 19, 1968 in Levelland. She loved her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a member of the Catholic Church.

She is preceded in death by her parents, 1 brother-Jessie Morales, 2 sisters- Margarita Salas and Connie Morales.

Survivors include her husband Joe G. Duran of Friona, 5 sons- Joe Duran of Amarillo, Ben Duran and Lupe Duran of Lubbock, Juan Duran and Matti Duran of Friona, 1 daughter- Teresa Ramos of Friona, 4 brothers-Gilbert Morales of Muleshoe, Frank Morales of Electra, Martin Morales, and Reynaldo Junior Morales of Littlefield, 1 sister-Josephina McCrary of Littlefield, 19 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
