Mario Vega Sr., 55 of Friona passed away January 25, 2021 in Lubbock. Memorial Services will be held at a later date. Burial will be held at the Parroquia del Sagrado Corazón in Apaseo El Alto Guanajuato Mexico. Cremation arrangements by HANSARD FAMILY Funeral Home of Friona.

Mario was born January 4, 1966 in Celaya Guanajuato Mexico to Jesus and Maria Luisa Jimenez Vega. He later married Maria Magdalena Hernandez.
He loved music, specifically playing keyboard and singing. While being a very humble man, he also was a jokester. He loved soccer, wrestling, and martial arts, as well.

He is preceded in death by his father Jesus Vega Sr.

Those to carry on his legacy include his mother-Maria Luisa Vega, his wife-Maria Magdalena Vega, 2 sons-Mario Vega, Jr., and Alessander Vega, all of Friona, 2 daughters Maria Ulibarri and husband Nicholas of Clovis, and Yesenia Giron and husband Jesus of Pilot Point, Texas, 1 brother-Jesus Vega and wife Erika, 2 sisters-Teresa Marchant and husband Alfred, and Guillermina Vega, all of Friona, and 4 grandchildren.
