Martha Garner Tyler, 85 of Bovina passed away November 12, 2019 in Bovina. Celebration of Life Services have been scheduled for 10:30 A.M. Saturday, November 16, 2019 at the Bovina United Methodist Church with Rev. Larry Mitchell, pastor, officiating. Burial following in the Bovina Cemetery by HANSARD FAMILY Funeral Home of Friona.

Martha was born February 26, 1934 in Anson, Texas to Lotis Herbert and Joycie Clemmie Howard Blevins. She later married Wendell Garner September 21, 1950. After he passed away in 1982, she married Frank Tyler September 14, 1996. He passed away in 1997.

Martha was a very active member of the Bovina United Methodist Church and the Bovina Chamber of Commerce and Agriculture. She was honored with the chamber's Heritage Award in 2016. She also loved to cook and sew.

She is preceded in death by her parents, both of her husbands, Wendell Garner and Frank Tyler, 1 granddaughter-Kelli Mitchell, 3 brothers and 2 sisters.

Those to carry on her legacy include 2 daughters-Donna Mitchell and husband Larry of Bovina, Susan Copeland and husband Bob of Garland, 1 son-Dickey Garner of Friona, 1 brother L.H. Blevins of Rockwall, 8 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild, numerous nieces and nephews that she thought of as her own children and grandchildren.
