Mary Nava, 61 of Friona passed away December 30, 2023 in Friona. Viewing will begin at 4:00 PM Thursday, January 4, 2024 at St. Teresa's Catholic Church in Friona with Rosary Services set for 6:00 PM. Mass of Christian Burial Services are scheduled for 11:00 AM Friday January 5, 2024 at St. Teresa's Catholic Church in Friona with Father Gregory Bunyan as Celebrant. Burial following in the Friona Cemetery by HANSARD FAMILY Funeral Home of Friona.

Mary was born August 24, 1962 in Dimmitt to Juan and Maria Hernandez Rodriguez. She later married Jesus Nava Sr. October 7, 1979 in Friona.

Mary was a very simple person that loved a simple life whether it be fishing, camping or following grandchildren from activity to activity, all the while listening to Tejano music. She loved her husband, daughters, sons, grandchildren and was blessed with a great daughter-in-law that she saw as a third daughter.

She is preceded in death by her parents.

Those to carry on her legacy include her husband Jesus Nava Sr. of Friona, children- Jesus Nava Jr. and wife Crystal of Friona, Mary Christina Garcia and husband Raul of Lubbock, Jonathan Nava and Beth Nava, both of Friona, 1 brother-Mark Rodriguez and wife Christina of San Antonio, grandchildren-Destini, Nate, Jadavyon, and Jalen.
