Melissa Mae Rico 29, of Amarillo, formerly of Friona died Sat. March 17, 2012 in Amarillo. Rosary Services have been scheduled for 7:00P.M. Wednesday March 21, 2012 at St. Teresa's Catholic Church in Friona with Mass of Christian Burial Services scheduled for 1:00P.M. Thursday March 22, 2012 at St. Teresa's Catholic Church with Rev. Anthony Swamy Aakula as celebrant. Burial following in the Friona Cemetery by Blackwell-Mullins Funeral Home of Friona. Melissa was born September 17, 1982 in Muleshoe, Texas to Juan F. Cuellar and Connie Mendoza. She was a loving daughter and mother, and loved her family and music. She was a motel clerk and a member of the Catholic Church. She is preceded in death by Grandparents Juan and Esther Cuellar and an Uncle Jaime Cuellar. Survivors include: 2 Daughters-Mirella and Myra E. Rico of Roswell, N.M. , 1 Son Juan R. Rico also of Roswell, Parents Juan F. Cuellar of Harper, Texas and Connie Zamora of Amarillo, 3 Brothers Carlos Cuellar of Ingram, Texas, Christopher A. Cuellar of Kerrville, Texas, and Oscar J. Cuellar of Harper, Texas, 1 Sister Kimberly N. Cuellar of Harper, Texas and Grandparents Daniel and Lupe Mendoza of Amarillo.
