Othelia Bennett, 99, long time Friona resident, passed away November 29, 2018 at her home in Friona. Celebration of Life Services have been scheduled for 10:30 A.M. Monday, December 3, 2018 at the First Baptist Church of Friona with Rev. Brett Hoyle, pastor, officiating. Burial following in the Friona Cemetery by HANSARD FAMILY Funeral Home of Friona.

Othelia was born September 8, 1919 in Floyd County to Leon Henry and Daisy Lee Amburn Hart. She later married Milburn Paschall Bennett on July 27, 1940 in Clovis.

Othelia was a Medical Records Clerk for the Friona hospital for many years, but took great pride in living on their family farm helping care for the land and animals until the Lord called her home.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, 1 great-great-granddaughter, 1 great-niece and 1 great-nephew.

Those to carry on her legacy include 3 daughters-Myrna Marlatt and husband Jerry of Orange Grove, Texas, Mary Beth Wyly and husband Gerall and Diane White and husband Ricky, all of Friona, 1 son-Carroll Bennett and wife Sue of Larned, Kansas, 1 brother-Dale Hart and wife Laura of Friona, 10 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren, and 12 great-great-grandchildren.
