Pedro Bernabe Viernes, 54 of Bovina passed away August 9, 2021 in Bovina. Viewing will be held from 1:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. with Rosary Services set for 6:00 P.M. Sunday, August 15, 2021 in the Ron Smiley Memorial Chapel of HANSARD FAMILY with Mass of Christian Burial Services set for 10:00 A.M. Monday, August 16, 2021 at St. Ann's Catholic Church in Bovina with Father Gregory Bunyan, as Celebrant. Burial following in the Bovina Cemetery by HANSARD FAMILY Funeral Home of Friona.

Pedro was born January 28, 1967 In Mexico to Juadalupe Santellan and Jubita Bernabe Viernes. He was quite a handyman with skills of mechanics, plumbing, and welding. He was a people person that liked to give to others and make them happy.

Those to mourn his passing include his wife Mona Contreras of Bovina, 2 sons-Zenon Viernes of Friona and Eraclio Viernes of Bovina, 1 step-daughter-Emilia Contreras of Bovina, 5 brothers Tiburico Viernes and wife Bacilia, Tito Viernes and wife Eva, Bacilio Viernes, all of Bovina, Julio Viernes and wife Maricela of Morton, and Jeronimo Viernes of Mexico, 2 sisters-Josefina Viernes of Bovina, and Felipa Viernes of  Mexico, 9 grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
