Ricardo DeLaPaz, 54 of Friona passed away November 24, 2020. Viewing will be held Tuesday, December 1, 2020 from 9:00 A.M. to 8:00 P.M. in the Ron Smiley Memorial Chapel of HANSARD FAMILY with Rosary Services at 6:00 P.M. that evening. Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:00 A.M. Wednesday, December 2, 2020 at St. Teresa's Catholic Church in Friona with Father Gregory Bunyan as Celebrant. Burial following in the Friona Cemetery by HANSARD FAMILY Funeral Home of Friona.

Ricardo was born January 26, 1966 in San Diego, Texas to Timoteo and Maria Luisa Guzman DeLaPaz. He later married Frances Ramos October 19, 1991.
Ricardo worked for CHS, Inc. of Friona for 30 years. He loved his family and his moto was family first. He was a great handyman and carpenter that loved bbq and anything Ford.

He is preceded in death by his parents and a step-father-Manuel Calanche.

Those to carry on his legacy include his wife Frances of Friona, 1 son-Tony DeLaPaz and wife Roxanna of Amarillo, 2 daughters-Josie Vera and husband Jorge of Odessa, and Ana DeLapaz and L.J. Lopez of Hereford, 1 brother-Timoteo DeLaPaz Jr. of Carlsbad, 5 sisters-Gloria Tanguma and husband Marin, Sylvia Betterton and Elva Amesquita and husband Ricardo, all of Midland, Maria Elena Fuentes and husband Frank of Carlsbad, and Noelia DeLaPaz of San Antonio, 8 grandchildren-Stephanie Vera, Joshua Vera, Daniel Vera, Illyana Salinas, Isaac Salinas, Zavier Lopez, Zachariah Lopez and Zahidy Lopez.
