Roscoe William Parr Jr., 76 of Friona passed away July 15, 2023 in Friona. There will be no services. Cremation arrangements by HANSARD FAMILY Funeral Home of Friona.

Roscoe was born January 10, 1947 in Clovis, New Mexico to Roscoe William and Katharine Dodson Beazley Parr. After graduating from Friona High School he attended South Plains Community College and then West Texas State University where received several Master's Degrees in Education. He was a Special Education teacher in Bovina and Killeen. After retiring from education, he worked for NAPA Auto Parts.

He loved time with his family, camping at lake and mountain areas, fishing, motorcycle rallies, and basically anything outdoors. He was very musically inclined playing several instruments and had a love for gospel music especially.

Roscoe is preceded in death by his parents Roscoe Sr. and Katharine, 1 daughter-Piper Dawn Parr-Ferch, and 1 sister-Katharyn Cordelia Parr Eddins.

Those to mourn his passing include a son-Roscoe William Parr III, 5 grandchildren-John Wesley Parr, Michael Ferch and wife Faith, Raphael Ferch, Angel Ferch and Ariel Ferch, all of Killeen, 2 nieces Belinda Anthony and husband Mark, Katie Parker and husband Damon, 1 nephew- Will Eddins, all of Friona, and a number of great-nieces and nephews.
