Roy A. Barraza, 77 of Bovina passed away December 15, 2024 in Amarillo. Viewing will begin at 9:00 AM, Wednesday December 18, 2024 in the Ron Smiley Memorial Chapel of the funeral home with a Celebration of Life Service scheduled for 2:00 PM in the chapel with Pastor D. Jay Lewis, officiating. Military Honors by Volleys for Veterans Honor Guard from Amarillo. Burial following in the Bovina Cemetery in Bovina, Texas by HANSARD FAMILY Funeral Home of Friona.

Roy was born November 15, 1947 in Ackerly, Texas to Antonio and Maria Acosta Barraza. He was a Veteran of the U.S. Army serving in Vietnam. He loved to work and was an extremely hard worker.

Roy is preceded in death by his parents- Antonio and Maria Barraza, 2 brothers-Moises and Fidel Barraza.

He is survived by his sister that he thought of as being very special-Antonia Barraza of Amarillo, and 1 nephew-Richard M. Barraza of Big Spring, Texas.
