Ruth Smith, 93, of Lubbock formerly of Friona passed away Sunday, April 15, 2012 in Lubbock. Graveside services will be Thursday, April 19, 2012 at 2:00PM at Friona Cemetery with Rev. Rick Burton officiating. Ruth was born August 22, 1918 in Tomball, Texas to William and Julia Ryals Lloyd. She was a resident of Friona for many years and later moved to Lubbock where she resided for about 20 years. She was a wonderful artist, wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She is survived by her son, Roy L. Smith of Lubbock; one grandson Jared Smith of Lubbock and 2 great grandchildren, Melonie Carmen and Ethan Hunter Smith both of Lubbock.
