Sandra Nell "Sandy" Lookingbill, 83 of Friona passed away January 29, 2024 in Aspermont, Texas. Viewing will be held from 9:00 AM to 8:00 PM family visitation to begin at 3:00 PM Saturday, February 3, 2024 in the Ron Smiley Memorial Chapel of the funeral home, with Celebration of Life Services set for 2:00 PM Sunday, February 4, 2024 also in the chapel with Jeff Procter, officiating. Burial following at Rest Lawn Memorial Park Cemetery, Hereford, Texas by HANSARD FAMILY Funeral Home of Friona.

Sandy was born September 17, 1940 in Commerce, Texas to Andrew Dodd and Dorothy Nell McDaniel Allbright. She married Archie McCright in 1959 in Abilene, Texas. After Archie's death in 1968, she later married Fred Lookingbill May 7, 1970 in Summerfield, Texas. Fred and Sandy's journey consisted of several homes from Texas to Nebraska, and finally back to Texas, where they chose Friona as their final destination. Sandy was known as a hard worker with a wonderful work ethic. She loved her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and had a unique bond with her two sisters. She also loved plants, gardening. playing games, reading, sewing, knitting, and crocheting.

She is preceded in death by her parents- Andrew and Dorothy, her first husband of 9 years -Archie McCright, husband of 53 years-Fred Lookingbill, and 1 son-in-law- Ned Swink.

Those to carry on her legacy include her children-Alan McCright and wife Lynne of Canyon, Kelly Lookingbill and wife Tonya of Friona, Kurt Lookingbill of Hereford, Kimberly Fry and husband David of Ft. Worth, Andy McCright and wife Viki of Parkland, Florida, and Alison Martin and husband Shorty of Aspermont, Texas, sisters-Suzanne Barton of Abbott, Texas and Sharon Burns and husband Jerry of Baraboo, Wisconsin,  13 grandchildren-Alisa, Keaton, Taitlyn, Sean, Lacey, Jessica, Jack, Joe, Josh, Austin, Kielyn, Shayle, and Slade, 11 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
