Shirley Ova Jean Jackson, 85 of Lubbock, formerly of Friona passed away April 3, 2025 in Lubbock.  Celebration of Life Services have been scheduled for 1:00 PM Monday April 7, 2025 at the Friona Cemetery in Friona with Coleman Jackson, officiating. Arrangements entrusted to HANSARD FAMILY Funeral Home of Friona.

Shirley was born July 11, 1939 in Rock Bottom, Arkansas to Rufus and Delpha Balanger Vinson. She was a waitress at many area restaurants in Friona and Hereford and loved talking to her customers. When she wasn't working, she enjoyed garage sales and dancing.

Shirley is preceded in death by her parents-Rufus and Delpha, and by 1 sister-Sue Bentley.

Those to mourn her passing include 3 sisters-Eva Vickery and husband Richard of Penn Yan, New York, Diana Woodford and husband Frank of Midwest City, Oklahoma, and Brenda Jackson and husband Coleman of Littlefield, Texas.
