Thelma J. Jackson 84 of Friona passed away January 31, 2022 in Amarillo. Viewing will be held from 1:00 PM to 8:00 PM Sunday, February 6, 2022 in the Ron Smiley Memorial Chapel of HANSARD FAMILY with Homegoing Services scheduled for 2:00 PM Monday, February 7, 2022 at Calvary Baptist Church of Friona. The family suggests mask usage at both events.  Burial following in the Friona Cemetery by HANSARD FAMILY Funeral Home of Friona.

Thelma was born July 18, 1937 in Blossom, Texas to Maxie Eugene and Rosie Lee Reed Minter.

Thelma was known as a true servant of God, helping family and friends. Servanthood was her life's work. She truly was a Proverbs 31 woman of noble character and rightness. She loved happiness, kindness and gentleness, and showed it in many ways, especially by sending out cards to family and friends as a reminder of her love.

She is preceded in death by her parents, 2 sons-Lewis, and Curtis, 1 brother-Willie, 4 sisters-Jean, Margie, Katherine, and Lorine.

Those to mourn her passing include the love of her life for 60 years, Joe l. Jackson, of Friona, 7 sons-Travis Eugene Minter of Lubbock, Sylvester Lee of Amarillo, Waymon Lee of Lubbock, Ricky Jackson of Friona, Nelson Joe Jackson and wife Jossie of Clovis, Carl W. Jackson and wife LaToya of Amarillo, and Wayne Jackson and wife Trish of Artesia, N.M., 3 daughters-Ossie Pearson of Amarillo, Linda K. Darnes and husband Willie of Amarillo, Wennetter Jackson and husband John of Clovis, 1 sister-Earnestine Minter of Lubbock, 26 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren, and a host of great-great-grandchildren.
