Tom E. Villa, 84 of Friona passed away June 17, 2019 in Amarillo. Rosary Services will be held 7 P.M. Thursday, June 20, 2019 at the Ron Smiley Memorial Chapel of HANSARD FAMILY Funeral Home with Mass of Christian Burial Services scheduled for 11:00 A.M. Friday, June 21, 2019 at La Iglesia de San Jose Catholic Church in Hereford with Father Nestor Lara as Celebrant. Cremation and arrangements by HANSARD FAMILY Funeral Home of Friona.

Tom was born March 7, 1935 in Munford, Texas to Elairo and Madelena Escobedo Villa. He later married Rosa Cabrera on March 7, 1962 in Sudan.

He was an area farmer that loved family functions, gardening, playing music on his accordion and guitar, fishing and working on cars.

He is preceded in death by his parents, 3 sisters, 2 brothers and 1 great-grandson.

Those to carry on his legacy include his wife Rosa of Friona, 2 sons-Tommy Villa and Michael Villa and wife Christy of Friona, 1 daughter-Rita Almaraz and husband Salud of Amarillo, 2 brothers Camillo Villa of Lubbock and Angel Villa of Fredericksburg, 3 sisters-JoAnn Mondragon of Hereford, Felipa Ibarra of San Antonio and Sylvia Benavidez of Amarillo, 10 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.
