Virginia Dollie Espire de'Gayarre Jennings, 94 of Friona passed away December 26, 2018 in Canyon. Celebration of Life Services are scheduled for 10:00 A.M. Saturday, December 29, 2018 at the Friona United Methodist Church with Rev. Archie Echols of Lubbock and Rev. Skip Hodges, pastor, officiating. Burial following in the Friona Cemetery by HANSARD FAMILY Funeral Home of Friona.

Virginia was born September 28, 1924 in West Helena, Arkansas to Phillip Esteven and Virgie Lee Rowland de'Gayarre. She later married Elvie Tipton Jennings September 9, 1944 in West Helena, Arkansas and moved to Friona, Texas where Virginia was a bookkeeper for Western Union, the Friona I.S.D., Zola Cranfill and the family business, the Friona Airport.

She was an avid music lover, especially her beloved Elvis and Blues music, traveling back to Arkansas many times for Blues Music festivals. She was a fan of the Arkansas Razorbacks, was a great tennis and basketball player, enjoyed deer hunting and collectables, especially collecting antiques. She was known as a hard worker that loved life.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband and 3 sisters.

Those to carry on her legacy include 1 son-Rick Jennings of Friona, 3 daughters-Diane Gayarre Jennings and Larry Morgan of Canyon, Teto Milner and husband Dale of Friona and Jo Anne Danner and husband J.D. of Amarillo, 4 sisters-Willene Walden of Canyon, Phyllis Steidle of Little Rock, Arkansas, Kathleen Burns of Chicago, Illinois, and Kay Lefeve of Wappinger Falls, New York, 6 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
